At their regular meeting, Adams County commissioners approved a batch of routine administrative items including minutes, accounts payable, payroll-related benefits, a short-term lease for WIC services and a new county personnel policy manual.
The board accepted the minutes from the Dec. 16 meeting and approved various claims presented by staff: utilities paid of $32,001.19 and accounts payable totaling $671,370.91 (noted as largely for county highway and related vendors). Payroll-related AP claims for benefits totaling $354,678.83 were also approved. A year-end health insurance funding summary was presented with required funding of $144,956.90 and approved by the board.
County attorney presented a proposed lease with Meridian Health Services for WIC services commencing Jan. 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026, with a month-to-month option thereafter; commissioners accepted the recommendation and authorized signing. The county also approved a new employee policy manual effective Jan. 3, 2026, and directed staff to distribute it to department heads and employees.
Commissioners agreed to cancel the next scheduled meeting because the chair will be out of town and noted the statutory requirement for written notice to media and public posting prior to cancellation. The meeting concluded with acceptance of the November report and adjournment.
