Council unanimously approved a resolution directing the mayor to file an application with the Hamilton County budget prioritization task force (Ohio Capital Budget) to request community-project funding for the Anne Button Becker Park project (staff and the park advisory board recommended the project). The committee report had asked solicitor McTighe to prepare the necessary resolution so the village could meet the Dec. 10 application deadline; council adopted the resolution and declared an emergency to expedite filing.
Separately, council adopted a resolution to apply to the Hamilton County Countywide Facade Improvement Program for grant assistance in the Old Town Center Business District and invoked the emergency clause to permit immediate action. Council also approved the payment of bills in a routine roll-call vote.
The council completed several personnel and board actions: it took the third reading and adopted the reappointment of Matt Trepepe to the Mariemont Racquet Club Board for 2026 and recorded other first- and second-reading appointments and ordinance amendments for future meetings.
Council asked staff to continue coordinating with property owners and business tenants as facade applications are finalized and encouraged staff to report back on grant match or lease requirements when relevant.
