Board proclaims March observances and honors Momentum Award schools and student achievements

The Princeton City Schools Board of Education used its recognition segment to proclaim March as Music in Our Schools Month and to honor National Women's History Month, then recognized three district elementary schools for state awards.
Mr. Card read a proclamation endorsing Music in Our Schools Month and another recognizing National Women's History Month, citing the National Association for Music Education and the National Women's History Alliance. He then announced that Lindo Elementary, Heritage Hill Elementary and Lincoln Heights Elementary had been named 2024 Momentum Award winners by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, an award the superintendent described as honoring schools that improved their performance index and achieved value-added ratings.
Heritage Hill representatives (staff and several fifth-grade students) described school culture initiatives — Positive T-Shirt Tuesday, Wellness Wednesday and Friendship Friday small-group mentoring — and shared student remarks and a poem illustrating relationship-building and peer leadership.
The board thanked staff and principals for the work recognized and invited the community to upcoming events including the district Festival of Arts on March 30.
The recognition segment concluded and the board proceeded to regular business.
