Homeschool parent urges Princeton to allow broader curricular participation

At the Oct. 13 board meeting, Glendale resident Angela Solomon urged the Princeton City Schools Board of Education to consider a policy change allowing homeschool students to participate in curricular classes at all grade levels.
Solomon said three neighboring districts already invite homeschool students into classrooms from elementary through high school and argued that Princeton would benefit from increased participation and diversity. "We love Princeton. We really love Princeton ... I think that we would just benefit from participating more," she said during public comment.
Trustees did not take immediate action during the meeting; the public comment was acknowledged and staff noted prior conversations with community members. Board members asked and received no direct commitment at the meeting, and the comment will be part of public-record input for any future policy reviews the board chooses to initiate.
