Evendale honors two outgoing council members with proclamations

Mayor Richard H. Feynman presented formal proclamations honoring Carolyn Smiley Robertson and William D. Putoff for their long service to the village of Evendale.
The mayor read a proclamation recognizing Carolyn Smiley Robertson’s multiple terms and committee leadership, noting more than 18 years on council and service across finance, recreation, planning and cultural arts roles. Robertson, speaking after the presentation, thanked residents, department heads and family and reflected on her years of service, saying she followed her parents’ example in community work and acknowledging Veterans Day ties in her family.
The mayor then presented a proclamation honoring William D. Putoff for 24 years on council and for leadership on redevelopment planning and attracting businesses to Evendale’s business district. Putoff, addressing the chamber and guests, said serving the community “has been an absolute honor” and thanked family and colleagues for their support.
Both proclamations were read and accepted during the meeting; the mayor noted the village will welcome new council members on Dec. 1. No formal council actions were taken as part of the proclamations beyond the recognitions.
