Committee moves into executive session to discuss personnel and bargaining strategy

At the Dec. 4 meeting the school committee voted to go into executive session citing Massachusetts open-meeting exemptions for strategy in preparation for negotiations with nonunion personnel and collective bargaining, and to review executive-session minutes. The chair said publicly discussing the matters would be detrimental to the committee’s bargaining position. Percio seconded the motion; a roll-call vote followed with Percio, Wiseman, Loomis and Hamilton recorded as voting yes. The committee then recessed into executive session.
