Board approves two-year custodial and warehouse agreement with wage increases

Papillion La Vista Community Schools on Oct. 13 approved a tentative two-year agreement covering custodial, warehouse and driver staff, district administrators said.
Superintendent Doctor Settles detailed the agreement’s primary terms: a 3.94% wage increase in year one, a 3.8% increase in year two, benefits and health/dental plan options remain consistent while reflecting a 5.49% increase in plan costs, and a $25 increase to the uniform allowance (raising it to $225). The agreement also includes minor adjustments to personal and bereavement leave to align with other groups. Administration said the agreement takes effect immediately and that the Nov. 15 paycheck will include back pay from Sept. 1.
Mister Lotus moved approval and Mister Madler seconded; the motion passed on unanimous roll call. The board asked no substantive changes; finance staff will implement payroll adjustments.
