Board previews Monday votes on interlocal transport agreement and e3 HVAC package

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Trustees previewed several action items scheduled for the district’s regular meeting next week, including an interlocal agreement for interdistrict transportation and a design-build/guaranteed-maximum-price presentation from e3 for HVAC and controls work.
Doug (identified in the meeting transcript as the staff contact for the interlocal item) said he has sent the relevant senate bill to TEA and legal counsel and is "waiting on some clarification from TEA and from legal counsel" to ensure the district’s intended action complies with state intent. He told the board he expects to have feedback before Friday but also said the board intends to vote next Monday regardless of receipt of that input.
On the HVAC/controls procurement, Doug said e3 will attend next week's meeting to present pricing they received from contractors and equipment providers and to provide a timeline and guaranteed maximum price for the scope of work; the board will hear that information prior to authorizing the superintendent to negotiate final contract terms and legal review.
The board also kept a series of procurement items on the consent agenda during the pre-agenda meeting: the curriculum and instruction catalog bid (02/01/2025–01/31/2030) and cooperative purchasing organizations were described by Mr. Henry and marked for consent placement.
What's next: The board expects formal action on the interlocal agreement and the e3 presentation at the regular meeting next week; district staff said they will prepare numbers and information for trustees before the vote.
