The board approved two small changes to the district mission statement recommended by a community advisory committee as part of the strategic-planning process.
Doctor Siri presented the advisory committee's work and recommended the two-word edits to better align the mission with district priorities. Board member Miss Wood moved to adopt the changes and Mister Lotus seconded. The board approved the motion by unanimous roll call.
Board members said the edits were purposeful and reflected the district’s evolving goals. Superintendent and staff will incorporate the approved wording into official communications and strategic plan documents going forward.
