Administrator Mr. Richards presented the tax request to the board, asking for $92,272,726 for the general fund, $17,650,505 for the bond fund and $1,616,162 for the special building fund. He told the board the administration recommended approval as presented. "At this point, the administration recommends the board approve the property tax ask resolution as presented," Richards said.
Board member Mister Madler moved to approve the attached tax request resolution; Mister Lotus seconded the motion. A roll call vote was held and the motion carried unanimously.
The board and presenters framed the request as the product of months of committee work and discussions about balancing district needs with taxpayer burden. Board members praised the administration’s preparation and the process used by the Building, Grounds and Finance Committee.
What happens next: The approved request formalizes the district's ask and advances the statutory process for the upcoming fiscal year. Board members said they will continue to monitor costs as the district completes its budget calendar.
