The Avon Town Plan Commission on its year-end meeting unanimously moved to continue three development applications to a January hearing so petitioners can provide additional studies and site revisions.

A town planning staff member told commissioners DPR 2512 (Park Place Crossing) remains under active revision to align with the town’s thoroughfare plan and that the petitioner has asked for another continuance. The petitioner indicated they expect to meet the town’s Jan. 2 submittal deadline for a hearing the commission recorded as Jan. 26. President Landsberg moved to continue the matter; the motion was seconded and carried by roll call.

On DPR 2518, identified in the meeting as the Walmart Market on Avon Avenue, staff said the town’s traffic consultant reviewed the applicant’s traffic study and requested additional information and traffic counts. "The town's traffic consultant, after reviewing their traffic study, requested additional information and additional traffic counts," the staff member said. Commissioners voted to continue DPR 2518 so the petitioner can supply the requested traffic data by the Jan. 2 deadline.

For DPR 2520 (referred to in the transcript as Avon Veil Shops), staff said the petitioner is finalizing whether they will request waivers and is revising the site plan. The petitioner requested time to determine waiver needs; commissioners granted the continuance.
