City airport staff presented two amendments to the ongoing taxiway reconstruction at Hot Springs Memorial Field Airport that will be paid from recent FAA discretionary funds.
Airport Director Don Roulette said an amendment to Garver LLC’s work order adds $15,100 to cover administrative and project-oversight work for ten extra days on Phase 1. He also described Change Order #1 to Redstone Construction Group Inc. for $80,989 to add extra contractor tasks in phase 1 of reconstruction of Taxiways A and B. Roulette said both increases are covered entirely by FAA discretionary funding and will not require local funding.
Board members asked for a summary of what the additional discretionary money funded; Roulette said the total discretionary funding was approximately $8.586 million. The items (R25227 and R25228) will be presented for formal action at the board’s Dec. 16 meeting.
