Mayor Adrian Petrella used a holiday video update to thank city departments and neighborhood groups for seasonal activities across St. Pete Beach and to report on a rededication at the city library.
Petrella thanked the Parks and Recreation Department and neighborhood associations for "the amazing holiday cheer and Christmas spirit we've seen all over the city," citing specific events including "Santa in the Park" and a tree-lighting ceremony, a bonfire in Pass-a-Grille (the transcript reads "Passer Grill"), and a golf cart parade (the transcript reads "golf card parade"). He also described the fire department’s participation with Santa and sirens traveling across the city to bring holiday cheer.
The mayor said the city held an event honoring Bonnie Grama, a librarian who served St. Pete Beach for 23 years, and that the library’s community room was rededicated in her name with friends, family, coworkers and residents in attendance. "The next time you stop at the library, be sure to check it out," Petrella said.
Petrella closed the update by offering holiday wishes and by inviting residents to the first commission meeting on Jan. 13, 2026; he also announced mayor's office hours on Monday, Jan. 12 from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m.
