At its Dec. 22 meeting, the Butte-Silver Bow Council of Commissioners took the following formal actions:
- Approved the minutes of the Dec. 3, 2025 regular meeting (motion passed, recorded tally 9–0).
- Approved the consent agenda (with specified segregations) and placed communications not segregated on file (motion passed, recorded tally 9–0).
- Held communication 2025-591 (the $200,000 Phoenix Building redevelopment grant) in the Committee of the Whole pending a public hearing to be held Dec. 23, 2025 (motion passed 9–0).
- Concurred and placed communication 2025-597 (Swank Enterprises change order No. 4 for solids handling and dewatering improvements, ~ $118,000) on file pending a legal analysis from the County Attorney (motion passed 9–0).
Several items required follow-up: Director Burns was to post grant materials and the Montana Main Street documentation; the County Attorney will provide a written legal analysis on procurement rules related to the Swank change order; and an ad hoc committee will study the Sabey data center impacts. Several votes recorded a 9–0 tally; two commissioners were absent.
