Council OKs $38,400 materials‑testing contract for Riverview Drive reconstruction

A motion to approve the contract and to authorize the mayor to sign the agreement was moved and seconded; the council voted to approve the contract unanimously.
Romero said the $38,400 figure represents a not-to-exceed cap for time-and-materials testing; the council did not amend the amount. The contract award authorizes testing during construction to verify materials and geotechnical performance as the Riverview Drive project proceeds.
The council did not provide further budget detail during the motion; staff indicated work would follow the city's contracting procedures and spend from the project allocation.
