Tinley Park spotlights three local businesses, including new Pete’s Fresh Market

The Tinley Park Village Board used part of its Dec. 2 meeting to highlight three local businesses, including the recently opened Pete’s Fresh Market and two existing restaurants on Oak Park Avenue and 159th Street.
Pete’s Fresh Market, at 16280 S. Harlem Ave., opened in September 2025 and is the largest store in the chain, the board said. Eugene, representing the store, told the board the Thanksgiving holiday brought about 30% more business than expected and said early plans are under way for a second Tinley Park-area store near 191st and Harlem. "We're part of the community," Eugene said, and asked residents to submit product requests so the store can tailor its selection.
Siam Marina, at 16846 Oak Park Ave., was presented via a video and by on-site representatives who praised Chef Tammy Pham and described the restaurant’s Asian-fusion menu. The representatives noted a martini-tasting event scheduled for Dec. 4 and invited residents to visit the Oak Park Avenue location.
Whistle Sports Bar & Grill, at 7537 W. 159th St., was represented by the owner’s remarks read at the meeting. The owner thanked the village for its support, highlighted the restaurant’s history and recent upgrades to its video wall, and noted the business’s community sponsorships.
Board members thanked the businesses for investing locally and encouraged residents to support the new and existing establishments.
The board moved on to routine business after the presentations.
