Board authorizes Dominion Power right-of-way and hears terminal progress; furniture grant cited

Separately, the airport committee described construction progress at the new terminal: poured slab, steel erection, roofing, HVAC ducting and windows ordered. The committee estimated February occupancy under current schedules and said an access-control contractor had completed wiring for entry systems. The airport also received a state furniture grant (cited as approximately $38,000) while the airport committee budgeted $57,000 for furnishings; staff said they would reconcile the difference and reduce the local budget as needed.
No dissenting votes were recorded on the right-of-way authorization. The board thanked airport staff and committee members for progress on the terminal.
