Pleasant View board backs practice-range upgrades, recommends $178,000 fence bid to finance and common council

Pleasant View Golf Course leadership on Monday recommended that the finance committee and common council be asked to award a bid for a 24-foot chain-link practice-range fence and approved replacement practice mats and a one-page memorandum related to a mountain-bike trip.

Manager/staff member Jeremy said the group "made a strategic decision to stay to remain closed for a number of reasons," citing wet turf, cart-path protection and ongoing maintenance work while crews completed pruning, mounding and maintenance-building preparations. Jeremy also described construction progress at the maintenance building, saying in-floor heating had been installed and the concrete floor was scheduled to be poured.
