Gary Anders appointed to Knox County ethics committee after multi-round vote

The clerk called nominations, and the commission conducted successive rounds of voting after commissioners nominated multiple candidates. In the final tally, Gary Anders received eight votes and Adam Cook received two. The chair announced Anders’ appointment and the commission approved a resolution to confirm the appointment.
Anders, present at the meeting, expressed appreciation after the vote. Commissioner Frazier recused from the item to avoid any perceived conflict of interest prior to the appointment process.
