Contractor Mattingly Construction introduces services as Danville projects move forward

Hill said Mattingly Construction is a "36 year old commercial general contractor" that works across a range of project types, from interior build-outs to larger industrial and office developments. He cited local examples including Avon Orthodontics, Metro Plastics and work on older downtown buildings, and said the company offers preconstruction services, design-build options and competitive pricing.
The presentation was framed as an introduction: Hill offered references and said the firm's business model relies on repeat and referral work. "We're not the right folks to build the new bridge or build the prison downtown, but we've got a lot of, very helpful projects," he said. He described bringing architects and engineers to match project needs and noted the firm does some development itself.
During the meeting staff and a town representative also provided project updates. A town representative reported ongoing lighting projects (no final plans yet) and said sewer projects near the airport and landfill are in design. He reported increased annexation interest linked to the sewer improvements: "We've had at least 3 other inquires about annexation because of that possibility," the speaker said, and noted one potential annexation may be filed soon.
Chair and staff reported that HWC has begun phase one of an analysis of an area under consideration and discussed when memorandums of understanding with landlords should be pursued as projects move from design to final phases.
Hill closed by offering follow-up information and references; commissioners thanked him and said the town expects construction to occur in and around Danville in the future.
