Board approves Town Line Road design with school-timing constraint for construction
Summary
Trustees authorized design work for Town Line Road (2026 design, 2027 construction), a pavement-focused pulverize-and-overlay project that requires the work be scheduled while schools are out; staff will proceed with design and coordinate timing with the Town of Troy.

Tim and Jason described the Town Line Road proposal as a pavement project (pulverize and overlay) with some utility adjustments and hydrant work. Because the district requires work when school is out, staff said construction must be scheduled to avoid class sessions; the plan calls for design in 2026 and construction in 2027. The board voted to approve the design proposal and directed staff to proceed with design and scheduling to accommodate school calendars.
Jason said the project is intended to provide an economical resurfacing rather than a full curb-and-gutter reconstruction and that the village is coordinating with the Town of Troy on the town’s portion of the roadway.
Next steps: staff will complete design documents in 2026 and plan construction timing for the 2027 season.
