Jason presented the final design for a 5-foot concrete sidewalk along the south side of Main Street from the square east to the Overlook Ridge development, describing minor property adjustments and two property-owner requests: (1) the village pay to tie into a recently constructed retaining wall (estimated roughly $2,000–$3,000) and (2) replace a removed section of driveway with concrete rather than asphalt to match the homeowner’s planned full-concrete driveway.
Engineers said the alternate driveway work is cost-neutral in the context of the project and the retaining-wall detail is included in the contract drawings. Jason and Tim said they had met with affected property owners and with county right-of-way staff and planned to return with the county agreement and bidding package. A trustee made the motion to approve the design, a second was given, and the motion carried by voice vote.
The board asked staff to include the retaining-wall scope and driveway approach in the bid package, confirm required county approvals, and return with specific bid amounts and funding details before construction begins in 2026.
