Commissioners authorized advertising a legal notice and invitation for bids for the Knox County Business Center project — described by staff as a transit facility that will include additional uses — with bids anticipated at about $2.5 million and a bid-opening date set for Feb. 3. "It's kinda hard to believe we're finally getting something off the bid on that project after 5 years," an official said during the item, and the board approved the advertisement by voice vote.
