Board approves 2026 meeting schedule and holds officer elections

The Planning Board approved its 2026 meeting calendar and elected officers at the close of the December meeting.

Staff presented a proposed schedule that places regular meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month except November and December, which are moved to the third Thursday because of the holidays. A motion to approve the schedule passed on voice vote.

Members then conducted nominations and votes for planning board chair, vice chair and secretary. Staff noted incumbent Mike McLean is completing his second term. The transcript records first-name references to the newly seated chair and vice chair later in the meeting: the chair is identified by first name as Vernon and the vice chair by first name as Tony; the transcript does not consistently record full surnames for those specific election results.

The chair offered brief farewell remarks on behalf of a departing board member and the board adjourned.
