Montgomery County commission approves two zoning changes and routine consent agenda

The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 8 to approve two zoning applications and a routine consent agenda.
The board approved CZ 19 20 25, the application of DRG Family Partnership, following a motion and no recorded discussion; the clerk announced the tally as 15 yes, 5 no and the resolution passed. The commission then approved CZ 23 20 25, the application of Marvin Pitts (rezoning from AGC 5 to C 5 M 1), by a unanimous vote the clerk recorded as 20 yes, 0 no.
Also on the agenda the commission approved the consent agenda by one motion. Items on the consent agenda included resolution 25‑12‑1 (an amendment to the 25‑26 school budget and authorization to accept grant funds from the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Program), commission minutes, the county clerk's report and notary list, nominations and appointments. The clerk recorded the consent motion as passing 20 yes, 0 no.
The chair said items on the consent agenda were routine and noncontroversial but reminded commissioners any item could be removed for separate consideration. No commissioner requested separate consideration during the meeting.
The meeting then moved on to other business.
