He listed specific grants including a placemakers grant ($5,000), a $50,000 grant for the Clarksville‑Montgomery County North Industrial Park and an executed $600,000 transload grant. Ward said the board provided $183,000 in matching funds for a 400,000‑square‑foot pad site and reported total IDB matching funds of $835,000 for 2025.
Ward described the Montgomery County transload facility project and said, once complete, it should remove an estimated 2,400 semi trucks off I‑24 every month while noting the project requires construction of an access road estimated at $1.2 million. He also listed project pipeline figures presented to state and regional partners, including an aggregate capital investment figure cited during the presentation.
Janet Wilson reported there were no new low‑income housing tax credit pilot projects requiring abatement participation this year; the board is using $46,150 of a $500,000 allotment for one project. She said a 72‑unit, three‑building development opened in February 2025 near Rotary Park and that the pilot structure (payment‑in‑lieu arrangement) helps Montgomery County compete for awards from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.
Commissioners did not remove the item for further consideration at the informal meeting; no formal vote was recorded. Commissioners asked no substantive follow‑up questions during the presentation.
