Council holds Bill 89-25 (budget transfers) to Dec. 15 to align with pending land‑acquisition review

Budget staff told the council the transfers reflected priorities discussed at prior work sessions and that the South River Heights Special Community Benefit District had become compliant and was eligible for a small supplementary appropriation. Given the council’s decision to hold Resolution 34-25 to allow a Phase II environmental assessment of a proposed land purchase, the budget officer recommended placing this bill on the same schedule so the transfers tied to land acquisition align with the council’s decision making.
By roll call, the council voted 7–0 to hold Bill 89-25 to its Dec. 15 meeting. Budget staff said they would notify affected communities (such as the SCBD) that the delay is procedural pending the related land-acquisition work and Phase II findings.
