Boone County approves transit building construction documents, aims to solicit bids in January

Randy Darnell of CCS told the board the plans and specifications were submitted for owner review and the bid package is substantially complete; architect Dan Saavedra said documents are essentially 99% complete and staff will finalize bid forms and alternates to hold a mid-January bid solicitation. Saavedra confirmed the project budget includes a $3,000,000 base bid and recommended approving the documents for bidding to keep the schedule on track.
Commissioners asked procedural questions and directed staff to provide an updated status report at the January meeting. The board approved the motion by roll call.
