Staff also explained a prefunding process for certain reimbursable costs affecting employees who are Medicare-eligible or who have family members on Medicare. Staff said about 16 employees would see reimbursable amounts included in their Dec. 31 paychecks and would be asked to remit those amounts by Jan. 1. The county described the prefunding as an "in and out" administrative step intended to avoid a delayed reimbursement process for employees.
The consent agenda motion passed by voice vote; commissioners answered "Aye" when the chair called for approval. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
