Commission approves routine personnel actions, payroll warrants and meeting schedule change

Norfolk County commissioners on Nov. 19 approved several routine administrative items: contingent student-labor appointments, a leave notice, payroll and expense warrants, and a change to next week's meeting time.
Commissioners approved contingent employment notices for Lily Gallagher and Elise Anderson as student labor, each with effective dates in November 2025. A leave-of-absence notice (code 090125) was also approved. Motions for these personnel actions were made, seconded and approved by voice votes.
The commission approved three warrants presented by staff: a county payroll warrant (line 2620) for $145,723.99; a county expense warrant (11-03-26) for $326,318.99; and a school expense warrant (line 26-05A) for $268,163.15. Each was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote; transcript does not record roll-call tallies.
Meeting staff and commissioners discussed scheduling the Nov. 26 meeting later in the day because of the Thanksgiving holiday; commissioners agreed to convene at 12:00 p.m. on Nov. 26. Chair noted that the day after Thanksgiving is a county holiday.
The meeting concluded with routine housekeeping items, community announcements and adjournment at 1:34 p.m.
