The Spring-Ford Area School District board moved through the voting portion of its Nov. 24 meeting by consent and separate motions, approving multiple sections of the agenda by recorded unanimous votes.
Section 5 (letters A and B) was moved, seconded and recorded as carried 8–0. Personnel items in Section 6 (letters A through H), which included a retirement list the superintendent said totaled 191 years of combined service, were similarly approved 8–0. Finance items in Section 7 (letters A–G) passed 8–0; board discussion highlighted a geothermal IRA rebate item described in the meeting materials as a $40,000 investment expected to generate approximately $900,000 in rebates.
The board also passed programming/curriculum items, property items and other business items (all recorded as carried 8–0). Several motions were handled as consent items after being discussed in committee and at the prior work session.
