County staff opened procurement bids Nov. 24 for disaster-recovery bridge rehabilitation project No. 959488 (25-0026, DR 4879). Bids read on the record included a local bidder at roughly $2 million, a Gibson & Associates bid at approximately $1,065,193, and a Fredericksburg consortium bid at about $1,012,363. The court received the bids and referred them to the county engineer for review and recommendation for award in December.
Separately, staff opened annual bids for road materials from 13 vendors covering aggregate, asphalt emulsions and delivery pricing across three county delivery areas. Commissioners accepted the packet and directed staff to prepare a scorecard and return with recommendations for award.
