Livingston County board approves consent agenda, honors volunteers for county e‑waste event

The Livingston County Board on Thursday moved through routine business, approving a revised agenda, the prior month's minutes and the consent agenda for payment of county bills, and recognizing volunteers who helped with an October electronic‑waste recycling event.
Ritter moved to accept the revised agenda; Manker seconded and the board approved the revision by voice vote. Blackard moved approval of the minutes, seconded by Lovell; the board approved those minutes. During presentations the board issued certificates of appreciation for volunteer community service. Ritter presented certificates and singled out Josh Hartke and several school and scout groups for their roles in the Oct. 25 e‑waste event, praising student involvement and community participation.
The finance committee also presented routine items. A resolution to continue the county’s arrangement for the appellate prosecutor was moved by Ritter and seconded by Weller; the board approved the resolution on roll call. The committee additionally presented a temporary change to county‑clerk office hours during the primary election; Blackard moved and the board adopted it by voice vote.
Public comment included brief remarks from Seth Hopoff of Peoria, who thanked county employees and board members for their service and offered holiday greetings. The meeting adjourned its public session with a motion to enter executive session on collective bargaining matters.
