White County reports stable finances and $372,000 in state outcomes funding

The White County School District presented its financial position for the period ending Nov. 30, 2025, stating that revenues year‑to‑date totaled $16,467,909 while expenditures and encumbrances were $19,396,415, yielding an estimated combined balance of $17,526,659.
Miss Officer told the board the general purpose fund showed revenues up 2.52% over the same period last year, while expenditure increases were driven by salaries, benefits and higher supply costs. She noted the central cafeteria fund showed a temporary deficit driven by federal reimbursement timing.
In a separate update, district leadership announced the state awarded the district $372,000 in outcomes funding tied to student performance on last year’s state tests. The director said that award is formula‑based and welcomed the funding as supplemental to existing revenues.
Board members reviewed three minor budget amendments: an internal reallocation in the preschool special education grant to cover salaries and benefits, a $300 incoming stipend to fund a youth wellness survey (the only new revenue among the three amendments), and a Perkins CTE transfer of about $40,449.30 to support CTSO travel and driver benefits.
No large new spending commitments were approved at the meeting; the board accepted the reports and discussed monitoring reimbursement timing and personnel costs.
