Woodlawn reports $444,238 in November tax receipts; Atleta low bidder on Springfield Pike/Gruninger sidewalks

The Woodlawn Village Finance Committee reported that the village collected $444,238 in income-tax receipts for November. Committee members provided a fund distribution breakdown (general fund $353,845; road tax $57,944; debt $20,860; capital projects $11,589) and said cumulative receipts since 2019 total $5,247,757 with disbursements of $3,402,149 and a fund balance of $1,845,607.

In the municipal manager’s update, staff said the final asphalt layer was placed on Redna Terrace and that demolition related to the Hamilton County revitalization/facade work on Springfield Pike is complete; debris and a large tree removal were noted. For upcoming sidewalk construction, Atleta submitted the lowest bid of $1,030,356.81 for Springfield Pike and Gruninger sidewalk improvements; staff said the total SORT grant award for that project is $1,221,600 and construction is set to begin in spring pending procurement and engineering.

The manager also said the village will apply for a Safe Streets for All planning grant in January to study additional sidewalk and crossing improvements, and that the community will coordinate gateway monument planning with the city of Wyoming (design completed under a prior grant, construction anticipated in 2026). The manager reported that the fire department secured a grant to purchase new radios (amounts reported in the meeting as $25,148 in earlier remarks and later referred to as $25,000) and that staff will reconcile final figures in the finance office.

Council approved the receipt listing, payment listing and bank reconciliation after the finance director presented the reports.
