Terrace Park council approves minutes, hears budget and utility updates in 15-minute meeting

The Village of Terrace Park council met Aug. 13 and completed a brief agenda that included approval of minutes, departmental reports, financial updates and a short utilities briefing.
A motion to approve minutes covering meetings back to June 18 was made and carried by voice vote after council members responded ‘Aye.’ No individual mover or second was recorded in the meeting transcript.
Chief fiscal officer Katie Lyons reported the 2025 budget was submitted to Hamilton County on July 11, 2024, and said all council members and employees completed the required fraud-report training.
Finance committee chair Jeff LeMay said the committee completed a 10-year outlook on the village budget and described the village’s financial outlook as “very, very sound,” adding the committee will meet over the coming months to plan next steps.
Village staff and the presiding officer provided other routine updates: pending street work on Marion Lane expected to finish soon; an advisory limiting outdoor watering for residents not on well water because local water reserves are low; and reminders that the village website has maps of affected streets and an urban-forestry tool showing which trees are village responsibilities.
A motion to adjourn was made and carried by voice vote; the meeting lasted about 15 minutes.
