The Intervention Evaluation Committee of the California Board of Registered Nursing voted unanimously on Dec. 10 to approve the minutes from its Sept. 17, 2025 meeting and to accept the proposed 2026 IEC meeting schedule.
Maureen Gatt moved to approve the prior minutes; the roll call recorded votes of "yes" from Maureen Gatt, Stephanie Evangelista, Dr. Beth Barrera, Laurie Bergmer and Liberty Macias and the chair declared the motion passed. Later, Gatt moved to accept the anticipated 2026 IEC dates and Stephanie Evangelista seconded; committee members again voted "yes" by roll call and the motion passed.
Staff confirmed a prior email had erroneously listed one meeting as a Tuesday; the slide and agenda shown at the meeting reflected the correct dates. The committee noted that IEC meetings require a minimum of three members to convene and that members should check the schedule as dates approach.
After business in open session, the committee recessed to closed session at 9:32 a.m. "pursuant to Business and Professions Code section 2770.1 and Government Code section 11126, subdivision (c)(2)" to discuss matters related to intervention program applicants and participants. Open session reconvened at 4:06 p.m.; the IEC then adjourned open session at 4:07 p.m.
