Executive Officer Knox announced that the deputy executive officer (Rice) will depart for a new executive officer role in Nevada County; staff and commissioners offered farewell remarks, recounted his years supporting LAFCO mapping and GIS work, and said he may continue part-time as a consultant. Commissioners praised his service and asked that he remain available as needed.
After a closed session, the commission returned to open session and voted to create a part-time position for LAFCO to retain GIS and technical support. The commission also reported a closed-session consensus rating the executive officer as "above average" and moved to amend the executive officer’s Evergreen contract to include a 3% salary increase; the roll-call vote to approve the amendment passed.
