"The Pittman Law Group is a local vendor," Ammons said, noting evaluation committee review and clarification steps that led to the recommendation. Councilmembers asked about Pittman’s Washington, D.C. office and whether Pittman had specific partners to handle congressional relations; staff said those were not required by the solicitation and recommended the award based on qualifications submitted.
The contract contains standard termination‑for‑convenience language; staff said the city would pay for work performed to date but there is no additional penalty for early cancellation. The council approved the resolution unanimously.
