"We contacted about 21, 23 companies, and only, you know, we have both responded 4 or 5," staff said during discussion, adding that finance staff reviewed the terms and did not flag budget problems.
Council approved a motion to ratify the contract by voice vote. Staff said the city will revisit supply options at the next contract review (within 12 months) and monitor market conditions.
The ratification restores a contract term after prior authorization and will be executed under city procurement procedures; staff said they will verify accounting and provide further budget details if needed.
