Mt. Healthy opens first reading of 2026 tax budget

He said the city will hold a public-input session at the next council meeting and that the tax budget must be submitted to the county by July.
Bauer noted the projected general fund amount is roughly $50 lower than the prior projection; he characterized most other funds as “about the same” and said the city maintains a strong balance for the general fund. Members raised a drafting detail about a missing clause in the whereas paragraph; the council agreed the wording can be changed during the first- and second-reading process.
Council did not take final action; the item will return for a future vote after public input and any revisions.
