The Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees voted Dec. 8 to delegate the district’s votes for the Williamson Central Appraisal District Board of Directors to Clint Stephenson.
The chair introduced agenda item 3a, citing Section 6.03 of the Texas Property Code and explaining that each December the district, as one of the taxing entities in Williamson County, participates in selecting a member of the appraisal district board. The chair said the district had nominated Stephenson this year and contrasted that with last year, when the board supported Harry Gibbs.
Trustee Neighbors moved that the board delegate all votes to Clint Stephenson "for the Williamson Central Appraisal District Board of Directors as presented." Trustee Kennedy seconded. The board voted by raised hands with vocal "ayes," and the chair announced the motion carried. The transcript does not record a roll-call or a numerical tally of votes.
The endorsement is an annual procedural action by which local taxing entities express a preference for a candidate to serve on the appraisal district board; the meeting record indicates no further debate or amendments to the motion. The board recessed into closed session later in the meeting and reconvened before adjourning.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 15, 2025.
