Another commissioner alerted residents that construction on the North County Corridor has closed Roselle Avenue and could last roughly one year, urging drivers to expect traffic disruptions.
Staff reported that a recent appeal of a fireworks-related decision to the City Council resulted in the council upholding the violation. Staff also announced two brief presentations for the next planning commission meeting: a status report on the Crossroads West shopping center and a housing-element update that addresses state review comments and implementation measures. Staff said the Riverwalk project is progressing through a development-agreement review and that a public hearing will likely follow completion of that agreement.
