"Miss Edwards immediately sprung into action to get to Mr. Quinn and make the proper calls to 911," the superintendent said. "At the same time, Mr. Scott was attending to Mr. Quinn and was there as a comfort and a source of support." Quinn, addressing the board, said he could not find the words but that he would not be here without their actions.
The board presented a small token of appreciation and publicly commended the staff for using training and composure in a high-stress situation.
