SAN FELIPE-DEL RIO CISD — The district’s Education Foundation reported fundraising gains and grant awards at the Nov. 17 board meeting.
Eddie Amezcua Jr., president of the San Felipe-Del Rio CISD Education Foundation, told trustees the foundation awarded 28 scholarships totaling $19,000 this year and distributed more than $44,792 in instructional teaching grants. He said the annual dinner and auction raised $74,836 this year (up from a little over $60,000 in 2024), while the Adventure on the Creek fundraiser raised over $9,000. Amezcua listed board members and fundraising partners and encouraged support for the foundation’s April 10, 2026 event.
Trustees thanked foundation members and noted the foundation’s support for teacher innovation grants and student scholarships.
