Princeton board approves multiple contracts and personnel items, from boiler maintenance to broadcast agreement

Contracts approved included a preventative boiler maintenance agreement with DryCast Piping Corporation, a service agreement with Advanced Document Solutions LLC to facilitate transcript retrieval (a $5-per-transcript fee was noted), and a multi-year contract through 2028 with a Thomson/Thompson Reuters product (described in the meeting as ClearProfile/ProFlex) to support student residency verification and data updates. The board also approved an agreement with the NFHS Network (powered by PlayOn Sports) to install two camera units in school facilities to broadcast athletic events; presenters said installation and two units come at no cost to the district.
Board members also voted to approve the job description for a Junior Systems Engineer for the 2025–26 school year; presenters emphasized that approving the description does not obligate the district to hire immediately, only that the description be available if the board later approves posting the position.
Each item was moved, seconded and approved by roll-call vote during the meeting. Trustees signaled general support for the purchases' operational benefits: boiler maintenance to extend equipment life, a records service to expedite transcript delivery for alumni, a data tool to help identify out-of-district students and recover education costs where applicable, and a broadcast program intended to improve family access to athletic events.
The board also reviewed brief operational notes in the May financial report, including an approximately $187,000 forecast variance from the prior month and a deficit trend in the corporate sponsorship fund (018) that the treasurer said should be watched closely.
