SAN FELIPE-DEL RIO CISD — The Board of Trustees on Nov. 17 canvassed and certified the official returns for the district’s Nov. 4, 2025 bond election.
Sandra (named in the packet as 'Sandra Agnes' during the canvass presentation) presented the official election materials and told the board the tabulated returns were recorded in the board packets. The transcript records vote totals as presented to trustees in board materials as "14 35 for, 18 89 against the proposition." Those figures were presented to the board with a recommendation to approve the official election summary; the board then approved the canvass (motion by Becky Chavez, seconded by Diego Almanas) and the motion carried.
The certification of the returns completes the board’s canvassing duty under Texas election law and the Texas Education Code. The canvass does not by itself change existing district operations but is the formal statement of the election outcome and is being posted as required.
