Board hears Bond 2023 facilities update; Lincoln View elementary on track for June completion

Mr. Richards said completed projects include renovated baseball and softball fields and security window film installations; renovation examples in the presentation included Terra Heights, Trumbull Park, Parkview Heights and Hickory Hill. He showed interior and exterior photos and noted the district has repurposed HVAC equipment and added front-entrance renovations at several sites.
Richards said Lincoln View elementary is slated for a June 1 completion (he described that date as conservative and said May 1 was possible) and that La Vista Middle and Papillion Bridal projects expect completion in 2026. He reported some outdoor field projects ran behind schedule because of consolidated rain earlier in the summer but that contractors are progressing and some bid prices have softened since previous rounds.
On district planning, Richards said the finance subcommittee is exploring middle-school land purchase options and hopes to present recommendations to subcommittees by November and further refine by February–March. He said the district will bring guaranteed maximum price proposals and bid results to the board for review in upcoming meetings.
The board asked clarifying questions about schedules and thanked staff for site visits and student presentations that highlight project impacts. No formal action was taken at the meeting; the update was informational with next procurement steps planned over the coming months.
