The Papillion La Vista Community Schools Board of Education recorded several formal actions at its Nov. 24 meeting: approval of the action-by-consent items, adoption of the 2026–27 school calendar and a vote to move into closed session to discuss employee negotiations.
Mr. Madler moved to approve the action-by-consent items; the motion was seconded and carried on roll call. Later, Ms. Wood moved to approve the 2026–27 school calendar (173 elementary days; 175 secondary days; Aug. 12, 2026 start; May 21, 2027 last day); that motion was seconded and carried by roll call as well.
At the end of public business the board voted to move into closed session "for the protection of public interest while discussing employee negotiations." The motion passed on a roll-call vote and the public was asked to leave the room before the board met in closed session.
All motions were recorded on the public meeting record and roll-call responses were read aloud before the board closed the meeting.
