Millersville Borough Council approved its 2026 budget as presented and advertised and passed a companion resolution to reestablish and amend the borough's fee schedule.
The presiding official moved to adopt the proposed 2026 budget following months of preparation; a second was recorded and the council approved the budget by voice vote. The council also adopted a resolution reestablishing and amending fees for services provided by the borough, with no significant changes to the structure compared with recent years.
Council authorized staff to accept the November financial report and satisfy ordinary monthly obligations, and it authorized advertising a slate of January 2026 meetings including the reorganization meeting on Jan. 5 (6:00 p.m.), the regular council meeting on Jan. 13, and several commission and board meetings. The council also voted to cancel the scheduled Dec. 23, 2025 meeting.
Manager Rebecca thanked outgoing councilors and said the borough will begin implementing the budget on Jan. 1, 2026. The council also heard a brief public works update and a report that the borough's safety committee achieved certification, earning a 5% workers' compensation insurance discount.
Next steps: Finance staff will finalize year‑end accounting and implement the approved 2026 budget on schedule; meeting advertisements will be posted as authorized.
